Control Assemblies, EXTRON, and RRAMAC Unite to Expand Capabilities in Automation, Manufacturing, and Connected Technologies

December 17, 2025

Control Assemblies, EXTRON Company and RRAMAC Connected Systems announced today that they will be integrating their operations into one company, under the Control Assemblies name. The move brings three engineering teams together to create a single, expanded partner for industrial automation, grain handling and storage technology, embedded controls, and connected monitoring.

The combined company gives customers one place to go for engineered control, reliable performance, and the real-time intelligence today’s operations demand.

“Uniting Control Assemblies with EXTRON and RRAMAC gives our customers a stronger, more capable partner,” said Curt Tillotson, CEO of Control Assemblies. “This merger aligns our expertise, expands our capacity, and allows us to deliver a more complete set of solutions from one organization.”

A Unified Approach to Industrial and Agricultural Operations

Together, the organizations bring decades of experience across four core areas:

  • Industrial automation and control systems — design, engineering, panel fabrication, PLC/HMI/SCADA development, and system integration
  • Grain handling and storage solutions — grain spreaders, hazard monitoring, wireless sensing, and environmental controls
  • Embedded OEM technologies — custom electronics, annunciators, drive systems, and dedicated controls
  • Connected monitoring and IIoT intelligence — remote equipment visibility, cloud-based analytics, and data-driven decision support

This combination gives customers a clearer, more consistent approach to safety, reliability, and operational insight across their most critical operations.

Why Bring the Companies Together Now

Today’s industrial and agricultural operations are evolving quickly. Systems are becoming more connected. Expectations for safety, data visibility, and uptime continue to grow. Customers want integrated solutions that work together, rather than a patchwork of vendors and technologies to manage.

“Extron customers will continue working with the same team they know and trust,” added Mark Schwab, CEO of EXTRON. “Becoming part of the Control Assemblies organization allows us to carry forward the service, craftsmanship, and responsiveness our customers expect, now supported by additional resources when they need them.”

By combining the strengths of all three organizations, Control Assemblies will be able to:

  • Deliver a more complete engineering offering
  • Provide a single point of contact for complex systems
  • Improve consistency across customer facilities
  • Strengthen long-term stability and reduce vendor fragmentation
  • Accelerate innovation and reduce lead times

What Customers Can Expect

  • Everything under the Control Assemblies name — a single brand, a unified engineering approach
  • The same people they already trust — existing project and service contacts remain in place
  • Expanded resources — more engineering depth, more support, and more connected capabilities
