What is Sublimation?
Sublimation is a process to transfer digital images printed on special paper to the surface of receiving materials by application of heat and pressure. Usually, the receiving materials are polyester, polymer or polymer coating. During the process the sublimation ink is dyed into the sub-layer of receiving material. The color molecules penetrate into receiving material. In one word: it’s “dyed into” instead of “painted on”.
Why Sublimation?
With the availability of inexpensive computer systems for digital graphics, sublimation is becoming the cost-effective, productive way to produce nameplates, logo-plates, and graphics with high quality.
High quality product
Comparing with engraving, sublimation requires no manual painting, no material cutting and no mechanical moving parts. This results more consistent quality and fewer product defects.
High resolution, color-rich picture
Sublimation-made plates are as vivid as your photo pictures. Engraving has nothing compare with that.
Durability
For the two materials we are using:
Unisub FR Plastic is scratch, stain and graffiti resistant, water repellent and UV resistant, able to withstand long-term interior use without the need for a topcoat.
Unisub aluminum has 10 times the out door life over other aluminum.
